3rd Feb 2006:

successfully retrieved capabilities and description; failure retrieving coverages with compound range set in geoTIFF, e.g. striped.nc: the server does not support more than one value for the “Vertical” parameter axis

3rd Feb 2006: unsuccessful interaction due to major differences in the SOAP implementation (RASDAMAN expects rpc/encoded, WCS Browser Lite expects document/literal)

10th Feb 2006:

validation error on getCapabilities HTTP/GET binding

7th Feb 2006:

unsuccessful interaction (server apparently unreachable)

8th Feb 2006:

Success with "GeoTIFF" and "GeoTIFFfloat" responses (including "Time Position"-based requests).

Partial success with "NetCDF3" response: netCDF read OK, but geo-referencing incorrect.

2nd Feb 2006: Tested Cadcorp Map Browser retrieving capabilities and description successfully. Failed in retrieving the actual coverage (see below)

Note: Cadcorp Map Browser apparently validates against the pre-emended WCS 1.0 schemas

8th Feb 2006:
GetCapabilities OK.
DescribeCoverage response contains unrecognised CRS information.

10th Feb 2006:

fixed WCS-G DescribeCoverage response. As expected, we get an unsupported encoding error: WCS-G  only supports ncML-GML and netCDF (it is not a standard WCS 1.0).

1st Feb 2006:

Could not test because of SOAP-only interface.

10th Feb 2006:

validation error on getCapabilities HTTP/GET binding

8th Feb 2006:

Success with "GeoTIFF" and "HDF-EOS" responses.

Failure with "NITF".

Could not test with netCDF because it is not listed as a supported format.

4th Nov 2005: Tested against Unidata/THREDDS GALEON Test Data. The resulting coverages appear to be projected rather than the EPSG:4326 specified in their DescribeCoverage.

7th Nov 2005: Tested DataFed Viewer against Unidata/THREDDS Real-time Model Data. Retrieved CDM grids successfully.

4th Nov 2005: The DataFed client currently only supports EPSG:4326. The GMU GALEON Test Server does not support this SRS.
